The new paginated report authoring experience in Power BI enhances the creation and management of paginated reports, providing a more seamless and integrated workflow within the Power BI ecosystem. Users can now create and edit paginated reports directly within the Power BI service, without needing to switch to a separate application like Power BI Report Builder. Now you can create well-formatted reports that contain several pages of data with a simple drag-and-drop experience. It is now possible with the new paginated experience in the Power BI service. In this update, you can design your reports with a few clicks. You can add headers, footers, text boxes, and images to your report and create parameters to display what’s relevant to consumers. You can save and share these reports or export the paginated report to one of many formats.
How to create Paginated Reports in Power BI service?
Step 1 : Open your workspace in the Power BI service. Click on the three dots on the file that you want to create a paginated report.

Step 2 : Select Create paginated report.

This new update has an Editor and a Preview. In the Editor, you can create and update the definition of the report. The preview shows you a rendering of the report, matching the format with a sample of the data. This will be the new experience of creating paginated reports in the Power BI service.

In addition to adding textboxes and images to your report, you can now add headers and footers to the paginated report. You can add page numbers, execution times, text boxes, and images to both from the “Insert” option on the ribbon.

You can now create parameters as well. You can create parameters by selecting three dots on the field you want to filter in the filter pane and then “Create parameter”.

Once you select “Create parameter”, the parameter pane will appear in the preview.

Save this report by selecting Save in the File menu on the ribbon. You can now share this report.
